No money moves until you've seen the number.
Nobody should have to guess what something costs, or hand over a card before they know what they're getting. Here is the whole sequence, in order, including exactly when each payment is due and what you've signed before it is.
Six steps, two payments.
Steps one through three cost nothing and commit you to nothing. The first money changes hands at step four, after you've seen a fixed price in writing and signed for it.
Free workflow audit
Thirty minutes finding where the hours and the leads actually go. You get a written plan, yours to keep whether or not you hire us. No cost, no card, no obligation.
Written scope and fixed price
A Statement of Work: what we're building, what it connects to, what's explicitly not included, one fixed price, one delivery date. Still no payment.
You sign
The Client Services Agreement once, and the Statement of Work for this project. Both electronically, in about two minutes. Still no payment.
50% deposit
We send an invoice for half. Work starts when it clears. If you change your mind before we begin building, you get all of it back.
We build, you review
Built, tested against real scenarios, demoed on your actual tools. Revision rounds happen here, as set out in your scope.
50% balance on delivery
Due when we hand it over โ not when you get around to launching it. Everything transfers into your name, plus 30 days of fixes included.
However is easiest for you.
Card and bank payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go straight to them โ they never touch our systems, and we never see or store a card number.
Card
Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover. Instant, and the simplest option for most people. Processing fees are ours, not yours โ the price you agreed is the price you pay.
Bank transfer (ACH)
Direct from your business account. Takes a few days to clear rather than being instant, but it's the one we'd pick โ no card limits to worry about on a larger build.
Check
Plenty of shops still run on them and that's genuinely fine. Work starts when it clears. Ask and we'll send the mailing details with your invoice.
What you pay other people.
Some things your build runs on are billed by the companies that provide them, directly to you, in your name, at their price. We never mark these up, resell them, or hold the account โ which also means we can't hold them hostage.
We'll tell you exactly which ones apply to your project before you commit to anything, and we'll set them up with you rather than for you, so the logins are yours from day one.
Most websites we build host free or near-free, because they're fast static sites rather than page-builder bloat.
The awkward ones, answered.
When do I actually pay anything?
Not until after the free audit, and not until you have a written scope with a fixed price and a delivery date in front of you. The deposit is the first money that changes hands โ and it's fully refundable if you change your mind before build work starts.
Do I have to sign something before paying?
Yes, and you should want to. You sign the Client Services Agreement once before your first project, and approve a Statement of Work for each project after that. The agreement is what guarantees you own everything at the end and that the price can't move โ it protects you as much as it protects us.
What if I can't pay the balance on time?
Call us. Invoices are due within 14 days and overdue accounts can pause work, but we would far rather rearrange a payment date than pause your project or send anything to collections. A cash-flow month is not a crisis if you tell us about it.
Is my card information safe?
Your card details are handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor used by millions of businesses. They never pass through our website, our systems, or our hands. We see that an invoice was paid โ not the number that paid it.
Can I pay the whole thing up front?
Sure, if you'd rather deal with one invoice than two. It doesn't get you a discount and it doesn't get you built faster, so there's no particular advantage โ but some people prefer their books that way and it's no trouble.
What about the care plans โ how do those bill?
Monthly, in advance, on the same date each month. Cancel any time with no notice period, and we refund the unused part of the month you're in. There's no annual contract to sign. If you leave before twelve months there's a balance to settle on the build itself โ a figure shown to you before you start, which reduces every month and reaches zero at twelve, when the build becomes yours outright.
What happens if I want a refund?
Depends where in the project you are, and it's all set out plainly in the Refund Policy. Short version: before build starts you get everything back; partway through you pay for what's done and keep it; and if a template automation can't be made to work against your tools, you pay nothing at all.
The first step costs nothing.
Four questions, one business day, a written plan and a fixed price. Decide about money after you've seen all of that, not before.
